BRANDON — Louis J. Dugas Sr. died Monday, April 18, 2011, at River Oaks Crossgates Hospital. He was 92.
Mr. Dugas served in World War II and worked for the Army Corps of Engineers in construction. He was retired from BellSouth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Devalcourt and Amica Dore’ Dugas; and brothers, Alton Dugas, Sandy Dugas and Roy Dugas.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Dugas; two sons, Louis Dugas Jr. of Flowood and Al Dugas of Clinton; two daughters, Paula Smith of Raymond and Ann Dugas of Byram; four stepdaughters, Mary McGrew of Redwood, Laureen Hunter of Pelahatchie, Dianne Edwards of Brandon and Vicki Powers of Gonzales, La.; a brother, Roland Dugas of Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Lillie Bartlett of Pineville, La., and Hazel Villanueva of Plano, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers will be Louis Dugas Jr., Al Dugas, Matt Dugas, Caleb Dugas, Jason Smith and Andrew Pates.
