Jackson woman held for North Carolina

A Jackson woman in the Warren County Jail this morning on a misdemeanor shoplifting charge was awaiting extradition to North Carolina to face a grand larceny charge.

Jennifer Pittman, 28, 2214 W. Ridge Road, was arrested by Vicksburg police at 2:07 p.m. Wednesday at Fred’s Super Dollar Store, 3427 Halls Ferry Road, where she was accused of taking several items totaling less than $50, said Lt. Bobby Stewart of the Vicksburg Police Department.

A check of her identity found that she had an outstanding felony warrant for a grand larceny charge from Bailey, N.C., Stewart said.

Details of that charge were not available this morning.

She was being held without bond for the shoplifting charge.
