Employees of River Region Medical Center do some gardening on a slope at Good Shepherd Community Center Thursday as part of the 14th annual United Way Day of Caring. About 200 people from 20 companies spread out over Vicksburg to help local social service agencies. About 30 people participated at Good Shepherd with gardening, carpentry, cleaning, organizing the clinic and putting together new cots. At the U.S. 61 South facility, volunteers worked on outdoor beautification, bathing and grooming of animals.
