Two Vicksburg Post employees with more than 100 years of combined experience have been moved into new positions.
Jimmy Mullen has been promoted to pressroom foreman, and Bobby Childers leaves that position to become manager of buildings and properties.
Childers has been at the Post since 1952; Mullen, since 1971.
“We’re the same every day, and every day we’re changing for tomorrow,” said publisher Pat Cashman as he announced the changes. “These two men have so much experience and dedication, so their positions show we are planning for the future.”
Childers will oversee maintenance and alterations at properties owned by the newspaper’s parent company, Vicksburg Printing and Publishing. Mullen will manage the daily operations of the press.
