Bruce and Karen Wallace of Overland Park, Kan., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kirby Elizabeth, to Jason Michael Brown. Mr. Brown is the son of Warren Jr. and Sonya Brown of Vicksburg and Hank and Ruth Israel Cooper of Raymond.

Miss Wallace is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bono and Arlene Wallace and the late Marvin Wallace, all of Kansas City, Mo.

Mr. Brown is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Israel Sr. and Doris Brown and the late Warren Brown Sr., all of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Blue Valley High School, where she was a member of Young Life and the varsity soccer, basketball and volleyball teams. She attended Kansas University.

Miss Wallace is an underwriter at Farmers Insurance.

The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of St. Aloysius High School, where he played varsity baseball and basketball. He attended Millsaps College.

Mr. Brown is a landscape superintendent at Epic Landscape.

Vows will be exchanged at 2 p.m. June 25, 2011, at Church of the Ascension in Overland Park. A reception will follow at Deer Creek Country Club.
