Mary LaVonne Prince

Mary LaVonne Prince died Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 51.

Born in Norwood, Ohio, she had been making her home in Vicksburg for the past 40 years. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene I. Sr. and Joan Webb Thomas.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Prince of Vicksburg; a daughter, Tiffany Jamison and her husband, Jeremiah, of Vicksburg; a son, Matthew Prince of Vicksburg; a sister, Angel Frauenthal of Italy; three brothers, Roy Thomas and John Thomas, both of Vicksburg, and Gene I. Thomas Jr. of New York; and two grandchildren, Tristan Jamison and Cooper Jamison.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Baptist Church with the Rev. Kent Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Joe Mocknick, Jay Prince, Timmy Lampkin, Chris May, Mike Hudson, Eddie Smith, Ken Frauenthal and Timmy Hynum.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shelia Smith, Jerry Harrison and employees of Unicon Inc.
