James Malcolm Gordon

YAZOO CITY — James Malcolm Gordon died Saturday, May 14, 2011, in Yazoo City. He was 65.

A Vicksburg native, Mr. Gordon was the son of Myrtrea Warnock and Hugh Edwin Gordon. He owned Malcolm’s Plumbing and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Scroggins Gordon of Yazoo City; two daughters, Stacia Johnson of Vicksburg and Tara Woods of Yazoo City; a son, Spencer Gordon of Houston, Texas; four brothers, Hugh E. Gordon Jr. of Brandon, Thomas Gordon of Yazoo City, Douglas Gordon of Jackson and Danny Gordon of Carthage; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City with the Rev. Caleb Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the service.

Pallbearers will be Gordon Downs, Dalton Downs, Steve Gordon, Thomas Gordon Jr., Christian Gordon, Caleb Gordon and Clayton Gordon.
