Services for Linda M. Washington will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Grove Street Baptist Church with Dr. Casey Fisher officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Washington died Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was 62.
She was a member and mother of Greater Grove Street Baptist Church. She was a retired caregiver and certified nursing assistant.
She was preceded in death by her parents Willie “Fox” and Hazel Lee Demby; two sisters, Clotea Tolliver and Regina Powell; and a brother, Joe “Dudley” Tolliver.
She is survived by a daughter, Bonita Annette Washington-Hall of Tyler, Texas; three sisters, Mary Hill-Brown, Juton “Tiny” Miller and Barbara “Ducey” Griffin, all of Vicksburg; a brother, Leon “Shorty” Robinson of Vicksburg; two grandsons; and uncles, an aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including Larry Hall and Tyronia Montgomery.
