The Vicksburg Farmers’ Market will open for its third season Saturday and run through July 30 at a new location on Washington Street in downtown.
Organizers are hoping to catch tourists in downtown Vicksburg to see the swollen Mississippi River.
“It’s going to be a great thing,” volunteer event coordinator Kristin Meehan said. “It will be open to people who did not know we have a farmers’ market in town.”
The annual market will have homegrown, local fruits and vegetables and baked goods on Washington and Jackson streets each Saturday from 8 until 11 a.m. and each Wednesday from 4 until 7 p.m.
