7 sentenced in Warren, Issaquena circuit courts

In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:
• Christopher Luna, 28, 4718 U.S. 80, pleaded guilty to child neglect and was sentenced by Circuit Judge M. James Chaney to five years of probation, a $500 fine and $322.50 in court costs. Luna was indicted by the grand jury in July.
• Christopher Byron Ross, 46, 201 Berryman Road, Apt. I-68, pleaded guilty to failure to register/notify change of address as a sex offender and was sentenced by Circuit Judge Isadore Patrick to 30 days in jail followed by three years of probation, plus a $1,000 fine and $322.50 in costs. Ross was arrested June 16.
• Floyd Edward Sanders, 48, 221 Lovers Lane, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and was sentenced by Chaney to 121 days in jail followed by five years of probation, a $1,000 fine and $322.50 in costs. Sanders was arrested July 15, 2009.
• Kenya Kwayne Stevens, 18, 1421 High St., pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary of a dwelling and was sentenced by Chaney to 283 days in jail followed by five years of probation, plus a $1,500 fine, $645 in costs and $5,899 in restitution. Stevens was arrested Aug. 10.
• David Thomas, 46, 296 Dana Road, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced by Patrick to the Ninth Circuit Court Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years, plus a $1,000 fine and $1,297.50 in fees and costs. Thomas was arrested Sept. 2.
• Antonio Tubbs, 36, 1407 Green Hill Road, was found guilty of violating probation and sentenced by Chaney to 10 years in prison plus $1,312.50 in fines, fees and costs. Tubbs was arrested Dec. 14, 2008, for possession of a controlled substance.
In Sharkey County for the week ending Friday:
• Demetric D. Jackson, 32, street address unavailable, Anguilla, pleaded guilty to grand larceny and was sentenced by Patrick to the Mississippi Department of Corrections restitution center at Hinds, Leflore or Jackson County to pay $2,572.50 in fines, fees and costs. Jackson was indicted by the grand jury in September 2008.
