The NRoute Transportation Commission agreed Wednesday to accept proposals for accounting services following the resignation of its accountant Elvin Parker.

The commission will accept proposals through June 15.

Parker, who had been contracted with NRoute since it opened four years ago, submitted a resignation letter to the board in March citing lack of time.

He had been contracted for $15,000 per year to manage the public transit system’s books.
