Tish and Jeff Covington of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Lea Michelle, to Michael Paul Ashley. Mr. Ashley is the son of Paul and Alecia Ashley of Eagle Lake.

Miss Covington is the granddaughter of Don and Linda Malugen of Huntington, Tenn.

Mr. Ashley is the grandson of Loretta Brown of Goodman; Vernon Hearst and Melba and Guy Collins, all of Yazoo City; and Alvin Ashley and Susan and Glen Dean Nevels, all of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of SkillsUSA.

Miss Covington is attending Hinds Community College.

The prospective groom is a 2009 graduate of Warren Central High School.

Mr. Ashley is employed in construction.

Vows will be exchanged at 2 p.m. July 2, 2011, at Northside Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the church. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
