Gerald Wayne “Jerry” Allen died Thursday, May 26, 2011. He was 36.

A native of Cary, Miss., he had made his home in Vicksburg for the past 15 years. He attended Cary Baptist Church.

“Jerry had a kind heart, and his love for his wife and two beautiful children was strong. He was proud to be raised by his Aunt Lucy and late Uncle Roy Camp. He was proud to begin our new life and move forward. Now we will move forward with his love and memories in our hearts forever. Love 8. Your wife, Lisa Michelle Allen.”

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Michelle Allen of Vicksburg; two children, Kayla Alexis Allen and Alyssa Blaire Allen, both of Vicksburg; his aunt, Lucy Camp of Vicksburg; his mother, Carol Brooks of Juanita, Fla.; two sisters, Angela Springer of Vicksburg and Melissa Outlaw of Belzoni; his uncle, Tommy Dunn; and numerous other relatives.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Cary Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Sanders officiating, and interment will follow at the Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg and from 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cary Baptist Church until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Kayla Allen, Scott Luke, Tommy Dunn, James Hicks, Tony Baker and Danny Fuller.
