Lee Hermese Windham

HERMANVILLE — Lee Hermese Windham died Friday, June 3, 2011, at Patients’ Choice Medical Center of Claiborne County. He was 87.

Mr. Windham was a lifelong resident of Claiborne County and a retired, self-employed electrician. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, in the South Pacific and Aleutian Islands. He was a member of Hermanville Baptist Church, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Washington No. 3 Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Ann B. Windham of Hermanville; three sons, Wayne Windham and George Windham, both of Vicksburg, and Robert Windham of Port Gibson; one daughter, Linda Cox of Hermanville; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charles Acuff, Eric Windham, Roy DeLaughter, Meredith Spencer, Patrick Wickman and Bobby Bagwell.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home chapel in Port Gibson with the Rev. Kenneth D. Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Hermanville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 this evening at the funeral home.
