Clyde C. “Butch” Phillipson Jr. died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at his home. He was 57.

Born in Morton, Mr. Phillipson served in the Army.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde C. Phillipson Sr.; a daughter, Glenda Ann Phillipson; and brothers, Ronnie Gene Phillipson and Terry Phillipson.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Mae Moore Phillipson of Vicksburg; his mother, Betty Ruth Bates Phillipson of Morton; four children, Charles Phillipson and Clyde Phillipson, both of Braxton, and Samuel Phillipson and John Phillipson, both of Vicksburg; two sisters, Cathy Valdes and Juanita Phillipson, both of Morton; two brothers, H.C. Phillipson and Billy Phillipson, both of Morton; and 10 grandchildren.

Services were at noon Friday at Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with the Revs. Timothy Phillipson and Michael Giles officiating. Burial followed at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Randy Phillipson, Blake Phillipson, Chris Phillipson, Josh Phillipson, Ray Phillipson, Daniel Phillipson, Daniel Phillipson, Robbie Phillipson and Jerry Phillipson.

Memorials may be made in his honor to a favorite animal rescue charity.
