A “personnel matter” investigated by the Vicksburg and Warren County E-911 Commission was concluded Monday with no findings of wrongdoing, chairman David McDonald said.

Commissioners met in a special closed session for about two hours at E-911 offices on Clay Street, McDonald said, following an initial three-hour closed session Wednesday that launched the inquiry.

“A complaint was investigated, and we did not find any evidence to support it,” said McDonald, who is also the county supervisor for District 1.

McDonald said he could release no details of the complaint, citing confidentiality restrictions.

In addition to McDonald, Sheriff Martin Pace, Mayor Paul Winfield, police Chief Walter Armstrong, fire Chief Charles Atkins, volunteer county firefighter coordinator Kelly Worthy, Emergency Management Director Gwen Coleman were present Monday.

A number of E-911 staff members met individually with commissioners to hear the board’s findings, he said.
