Jacqueline Battle and Joseph Nelson Brown Sr., both of Vicksburg, will be married at 1 p.m. July 1, 2011, in a private ceremony.

Ms. Battle is the daughter of Augusta Brown Sr. and Mary Lee Brown Bowman of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Henry and Lutisha Ringo and Ada Ringo of Vicksburg.

Mr. Brown is the son of Eugene and Hazel Erwin and Charles and Ruby Burks, all of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Indiana Paulding of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 1988 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of DECA and Fashion Merchandising.

She attended Hinds and the Monroe School of Nursing, where she studied phlebotomy, and Ashford University, where she studied business administration.

Ms. Battle is a phlebotomist at River Region Medical Center.

The prospective groom attended Vicksburg High School and has managed Ace Muffler for 34 years.
