Army Sgt. Maj. Donald F. Newton has graduated from the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy at Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas. The curriculum focused on leadership, communications, resource management, military operations and professional skills.

He is a transportation senior sergeant and has served in the military for 25 years. A 1985 graduate of Vicksburg High School, he received an associate degree in 2011 from Excelsior University.
