Services for Cornelious Johnson Sr. will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Travelers Rest Baptist Church with the Rev. Byron Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from noon until the service.

Mr. Johnson was a member of Cool Spring M.B. Church. He was employed with Kinder Morgan for 32 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pinkney and Ida Bell Johnson; one brother, Leon Johnson; and a sister, Dorothy Johnson.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Helen Porter Johnson; one son, Cornelious Johnson Jr. of Suisun City, Calif.; two daughters, Ida Inell Johnson and Tanisha N. Davis, both of Vicksburg; two sisters, Irasteen Williams of Los Angeles and Ethel Lee Williams of Oakland, Calif.; one brother Elijah Johnson of Vicksburg; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including Georgia Kemp and the Johnson, Brown, Kemp, Jones and London families.
