Wilbert Kenney died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. He was 70.

Mr. Kenney was of the Baptist faith. He retired from U.S. Rubber Reclaiming with 35 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Kenney; a granddaughter, Kristia Clark; and two grandsons, Johnny Lewis Kenney and Barron Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Kenney of Vicksburg; six sons, Charles Smith of Elk Grove, Calif., and Barry Smith, Johnny Kenney, Michael Kenney, Robert Burks and Jasper Jones, all of Vicksburg; two daughters, Helen Nelson and Dana Kenney, both of Vicksburg; a sister, Ethel Jackson of Vicksburg; two brothers, Sylvester Kenney of Columbus, Ga., and Harvey Kenney of Vallejo, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
