Andrew Penley of the Vicksburg Fire Department examines a flipped Honda Civic on the westbound lane of the Mississippi River Bridge Wednesday afternoon after its driver, Parmodni Murthi, 28, of Matthews, N.C., lost control when the car was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler driven by Calvin Heady, 52, of Moberly, Mo., said Vicksburg police Sgt. Larry Burns. Murthi and her two children, ages 6 and 9, were treated and released from River Region Medical Center. Heady was not injured.
