Richard Davis, an internationally known bassist and professor of Music at the University of Wisconsin School of Music, performs in the Coral Room of the Vicksburg Hotel Thursday night for the Milt Hinton Memorial Vicksburg Juneteenth Jazz & Heritage Festival. Hinton was a renowned bassist who was born in Vicksburg in 1910. The event honors his memory by bringing jazz performers to Vicksburg.
