National counseling expert to speak

Dr. Don Locke, president of the American Counseling Association and dean of Mississippi College School of Education, will speak at the Institution of Leadership Training for the Mississippi Counseling Association, the state chapter, set for July 6-8 in Vicksburg.

The meeting, open to association officers and members, will be at the Vicksburg Convention Center, 1600 Mulberry St., and the Hampton Inn and Suites, 3330 Clay St.

Participants will meet to plan MCA activities for the 2011-12 fiscal year.

MCA, the state chapter of ACA, has more than 1,100 members including school counselors, licensed mental health and marriage and family counselors, college counselors, alcohol/drug counselors and vocational counselors.
