EDWARDS — Services for John Ragans will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home with the Rev. Elzie O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Bovina. Visitation will be from 3 until 6 today at the funeral home.

Mr. Ragans died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at his home in Edwards. He was 57.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Ragans; his parents, Andrew and Caldonia Ragans; his grandparents, Anderson and Lizzie Ragans and Mose and Roberta Pinkney; two sisters, Pearlie Mae Norrise and Lizzie Mae Hudson; and three brothers, Leonard Ragans, Andrew Ragans and Walter Ragans.

He is survived by two daughters, Stacy Caston and Regina Myrick, both of Jackson; four sons, David Ragans, Chancelar Wilson, Fitzgerald Marshall and Lewis Marshall, all of Vicksburg; four sisters, Geneva Wilson of Vicksburg, Delores Watkins of Edwards, Mary Thompson of Clinton and Betty Harris of Champaign, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
