Sixteen receive VHBC scholarships

The Vicksburg Homecoming Benevolent Club has named its 2011 scholarship winners.

The group’s 36th annual reunion began Thursday night and wraps up Monday. A total of $12,000 in scholarships was awarded, and the winners were announced Saturday during a brunch at St. Mary’s Center.
