Vicksburg Fire Department EMT Tammy Stewart and other emergency personnel work to secure 1-year-old Montrell Cook to be taken to River Region Medical Center after an accident on U.S. 61 South Monday afternoon. According to investigating officer Burt Ryan, driver Marquida Janise, 25, 30 Prentiss Davis Circle, lost control of her 2002 Honda Accord and crashed into a tree near McDonald Trailer Park on U.S. 61 South, trapping herself and passengers Jamie Williams, 28, and Montrell in the vehicle. The three escaped through the sunroof and were taken to River Region, where all three were treated and released, said hospital spokesman Allen Karel.
