A free concert will be at the Vicksburg National Military Park Visitor Center Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The one-hour show will feature park rangers Matt Hampsey and Bruce Barnes from the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park, along with fiddler Gina Forsythe, percussionist Leroy Etienne and bassist Michael Harris.

VNMP chief interpretive ranger Tim Kavanaugh said the performance coincides with the release of a CD set, “Songs of the Lower Mississippi Delta,” a compilation of 39 songs and spoken pieces derived from the area’s history and culture.
