End of exceptionalism

NASA has launched the final shuttle mission, and so ends the excellence that resulted from its endeavors. The mission marks the end of American exceptionalism, superseded by the social revolution.
The revolution promotes a sort of indoctrination, where equality is more desirable than “the right stuff” and “a small step for a man” is more desirable than “a giant leap for mankind.”
Our excellence stemmed from an exceptional history, but revolutionaries are rewriting America’s history.
It seems unlikely that many of our descendants will know exceptionalism. For even in deplorable conditions, indoctrination induces the mind to believe “it doesn’t get any better than this.”
