Henry Barger Moss Jr.

Henry Barger Moss Jr. died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. He was 75.
Mr. Moss was born in Durant and had been a Vicksburg resident since 1942. He graduated from Carr Central High School in 1955, when he began working for the Corps of Engineers. He retired in 1995 as an outdoor recreational planner.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Vicksburg.
Mr. Moss was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Love Moss Farris; and his parents, Henry Barger Moss Sr. and Maye Weatherby Gilmore Moss.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Ruth Moss of Vicksburg; three sons, Jerry Barger Moss of Dalton, Ga., David Wayne Moss of Canton, Ga., and Daniel Eugene Moss of Ocean Springs; one daughter, Jennifer Love Moss of Vicksburg; a brother, James Reginald Moss of Hattiesburg; a sister, Barbara Ann Tillotson of Vicksburg; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Matt Buckles officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Adam Moss, Nicholas Bradley, Wes Casper, Scott Hankinson, Tom Hill, Johnny Kaiser, Cooper Trevilion and Rusty Henderson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Russell Barnes, Dr. Eugene Ferris, Dr. V.N. Shenoy, Intensive Care Unit nurses, River Region sixth floor nurses, members of the Cecil Knox Sunday school class and Koinonia Sunday school class, employees of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers & Lakes, affiliates of the Blue Ridge Parkway and friends of Mr. Moss.
