The Salvation Army is hoping to pack 300 backpacks with school supplies. Volunteers will be at Walmart again today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Public school, Porters Chapel, Travelers Rest and Agape Montessori students start classes Aug. 8. Vicksburg Catholic School’s first day is Aug. 10, and Vicksburg Community School’s is Aug. 15.
