The Mississippi Braves held off a late Jackson Generals’ rally to earn a 10-7 win on Monday at Pringles Park.

The M-Braves (17-20, 42-65) scored five runs in the first two innings, chasing Generals’ starter James Gillheeney after just three innings. Five more runs in the middle innings off reliever Taylor Stanton put the game out of reach.

Right-handed pitcher Zeke Spruill was solid over six innings for the M-Braves, earning his first double-A victory. He allowed just three earned runs over six innings of work.
