McInnis, Shaw are wed at Grace Baptist

David McInnis of Vicksburg and Dotti-Kate Shaw of Clinton were wed at 6 p.m. April 16, 2011, at Grace Baptist Church. Dr. Bobby Dungan was the officiant, and Colleen Embry was the wedding ceremony coordinator.
Dotti-Kate is the daughter of Tom and Becky Shaw of Clinton. The bride’s grandparents are Ray and Martha Emerson of Vicksburg, Laura Ballow of Lucedale and the late Dr. Tom Shaw Sr. of Lucedale.
David is the son of Dorothy B. McInnis and Clif McInnis, both of Vicksburg. The groom’s grandparents are the Rev. and Mrs. Clifton McInnis and the late Dr. and Mrs. J.A.K. Birchett, all of Vicksburg.
Dotti-Kate was given in marriage by her father, Tom Shaw. The bride wore a strapless, duchess satin gown in ecru, a design by DaVinci. The bodice and the chapel-length train featured champagne Alençon lace.
Her maid of honor was her sister, Kelly Shaw. The bridesmaids were Rachel Adcock, Dorothy Burgos and Caitlin Turnage. The attendants wore sleeveless, tea-length, belted dresses in fern green.
Shannon Lisenbee served as best man. Bobby Ballard, Mark Burgos and Joe Perez were David’s groomsmen.
Eric Adcock and Joe Giambrone served as ushers.
Included in the ceremony was a Celtic handfasting, during which the couple’s hands were bound together to illustrate their union.
A reception followed in Purser Hall, hosted by Sandy Adcock, Trisha Emerson and Tommy Embry. Reception attendants were Mindy Giambrone, Ashtin Giambrone, Lauren Embry and Caitlyn Embry.
The bride chose jewel tones as her colors, including shades of purple, gold, green and blue. Peacock feathers, cymbidium orchids and hydrangeas were incorporated into both the ceremony and reception.
Mr. and Mrs. David McInnis now reside in Clinton. Dotti-Kate is a student at Hinds Community College. David is an engineer at ERDC.
