Services for Lindsey Springfield Jr. will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Wesley officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Springfield died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011. He was 60.

He was employed as a custodian at the Dana Road Elementary School and was retired from the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, A.J. Springfield; and a sister, Deloris Springfield; and a son.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Springfield of Detroit; two sisters, Mary Bivens and Carolyn Plant, both of Detroit; two sons, Xavier Springfield and Jermain Springfield, both of Memphis; two daughters, Kawanna Springfield and Shemeka Springfield, both of Memphis; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and others including Katherine Woodland of Vicksburg, the Woodland, Wesley, Washington, Jones, Bells, and Valentine families of Vicksburg and Greenville.
