Wesley Erskin Robertson died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at Promise Specialty Hospital. He was 78.

Mr. Robertson was retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of LOW Travel Club. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Erskin E. Robertson and Bessie Jackson Robertson.

Survivors include his son, Rex Ivan Robertson of Vicksburg; two daughters, Iris Ann Rayborn and Sheri Bess Robertson, both of Vicksburg; two sisters, Elizabeth Robertson of Vicksburg and Ethyl Robertson Jackson of Vidalia, La.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is tonight from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Harley Hollowell, Kenneth Matheson, Jake Burnette, Phillip Brown and Billy Brown.
