Workers from Triple J Dirt Company work Wednesday around one of two bridges being replaced by Fordice Construction Company on Fisher Ferry Road near the Big Black River. Company president Hunter Fordice said the work will be completed as scheduled after Jan. 1. The $1,599,000 contract was won by Fordice in November 2010. Motorists are being detoured onto Mississippi 27 and U.S. 61 South.
