A Vicksburg man on duty with a pest-control company was arrested Thursday and charged with grand larceny in the theft of $600 from a client, Lt. Bobby Stewart said today.

Ricky Nixon, 40, 3904 Halls Ferry Road, was arrested at 1:07 p.m. when police stopped him at 2080 S. Frontage Road, Stewart said.

Nixon is suspected of taking the money from a bedroom drawer in a home in the 500 block of Lakewood Road that he was treating with pesticides, said Stewart. The homeowner told police he confronted Nixon while he was still on duty, and Nixon returned the money and left.
