MAIS District 3-A: Tallulah Academy at CENLA, 7 p.m. Friday
Records: Tallulah Academy (0-4, 0-3); CENLA (3-1, 1-0)
The Trojans: After falling to 0-4 with a loss to Riverfield, the Trojans took a back-to-basics approach. Coach Chris Busby used more full-speed and full-contact drills in practice this week to spark a veteran team that has hurt itself with mistakes in the early going.
The Lions: CENLA features a high-powered offense led by quarterback Graham Kelly. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound senior has thrown for 963 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, with only two interceptions in 97 attempts.
Coach’s quote: “This week we’re starting over. We’re crashing hard and getting a lot of live ball work. We’re trying to have a little more competition during practice so they’re competitive all week long.”
— Tallulah Academy coach Chris Busby
