FANTASY STARS Local stars pilling up big numbers

If local fans were playing fantasy football with local stars, the points would add up like the national debt.

Vicksburg’s team, while struggling to a 1-2 record, has the kind of potent offense that puts up big numbers. Last week, Cooksey threw for 448 yards and six touchdowns in a loss to Tylertown and needs less than half of that total to become the county leader.

His favorite target, A.J. Stamps, is piling up big numbers again this year. Stamps caught 10 balls for 194 yards and three touchdowns. Lamar Anthony caught three passes for 92 yards and a touchdown. Clyde Kendrick put up an excellent performance as well, catching 10 passes for 89 yards and a touchdown.
