8 sentenced in Warren County Circuit Court

In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:

• Thomas S. Caston, 24, 4980 Oak Creek Drive, Jackson, pleaded guilty to three counts of auto burglary and was sentenced by Circuit Judge Isadore Patrick to five years of probation, a $1,000 fine, $4,239.81 in restitution and $322.50 in court costs. Caston was arrested June 2, 2010.

• Charles Fowler Jr., 19, 4407 Halls Ferry Road, Apt. 3, was found guilty of violating probation and sentenced by Patrick to complete the Mississippi Department of Corrections extended alcohol and drug treatment program followed by a term in one of the state’s restitution centers to pay $1,547.50 in fines and fees, and then up to five years of probation. Fowler was arrested Sept. 22.

• Anthony Lewis, 20, 320 Fisher Ferry Road, pleaded guilty to business burglary and grand larceny and was sentenced by Patrick to five years in prison followed by two years of probation, plus $322.50 in costs. The sentence will run consecutively to a 10-year prison sentence for robbery and aggravated assault reported Sept. 10.

• David B. Lewis, 24, 60 Red Oak Drive, pleaded guilty to burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and was sentenced by Patrick to the Ninth Circuit Court Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years, plus a $1,000 fine, $995.56 in restitution and $997.50 in costs. Lewis was arrested Oct. 13.

• Gregory B. Ragan, 25, who gave addresses of 111 Allen Drive and 8050 U.S. 80, No. 3, pleaded guilty to shoplifting, third offense, was found guilty of violating probation and was sentenced by Patrick to six years in prison followed by five years of probation, plus $5,000 in fines, $600 in restitution and $645 in costs. Ragan was indicted for burglary of a dwelling in August 2009 and arrested for shoplifting Oct. 19.

• Terrell Shy, 26, 2519 Washington St., Apt. C, pleaded guilty to shoplifting, third offense, and was sentenced by Circuit Judge M. James Chaney to Drug Court for a period not to exceed five years, plus a $1,000 fine and $997.50 in costs. Shy was arrested June 23.

• Christopher Dale Stewart, 37, 854 Center St., No. 3, Ridgeland, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, third offense, and was sentenced by Chaney to Drug Court for a period not to exceed five years, plus a $2,000 fine and $1,297.50 in costs. Stewart was arrested Dec. 31.

• Dontaye Jamal Walker, 19, 601 Howard St., pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling and was sentenced by Chaney to five years of probation, plus a $2,000 fine, $1,200 in restitution and $322.50 in costs. Walker was arrested Nov. 2.
