Porters Chapel spent most of the first half Friday against Park Place on the wrong end of a field position struggle, stuck in the shadow of its own goalposts.

One play changed all that.

Jonah Masterson checked down his progression and hit Kawayne Gaston for an 81-yard swing pass. After a block by Richie Bufkin decleated two defenders in Gaston’s path, Gaston did the rest and gave the Eagles (3-1, 2-1 District 4-A) a lead they never relinquished in a 27-0 win.
