Flora Mae Jones died Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. She was 82.

A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Jones worked for 22 years for Westinghouse. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, James C. Deason; her mother, Edna Standard; a son, Felix LeRoy Jones; two sisters, Sarah Jones and Glenda Bailey; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler Smith and Hayden Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Jesse Jones of Vicksburg; one son, Robert B. Jones of Vicksburg; three daughters, Dutch Anderson and Faye Nielsen, both of Vicksburg, and Pat Ables of Pearl; a brother, Peter Deason of Germany; three sisters, Betty Vinson, Shirley Cook and Carolyn Smith, all of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Lescallette officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ben Luckett, Shane Rowland, Wayne Scott, Larry Vinson, Trey Smith, Brett Jones, Barry Vinson, Jerry Cook, Dean Cook, Jerry Davidson and John Houston.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Little, Talin Little, Braylen Greer, Ahstin Greer, Dr. Walter Johnston, Mack Branning, Christopher Ables, Jason Ables and Michael Nielsen.
