Saw, CD player missing in city

A CD player and a power saw were taken in burglaries reported Tuesday to Vicksburg police, Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

He said a Sony Explode CD player valued at $300 was reported stolen about 7:07 a.m. from a 1995 Hyundai parked in the 100 block of Meadowbrook Drive.

He said a Ryobi saw valued at $400 was taken at about 5:59 p.m. from a home in the 600 block of Speed Street.

Stewart said burglaries also were reported about 9:01 a.m. at the Sweet Olive excursion boat at City Front, and at about 5:25 p.m. at a storage shed in the 2500 block of Ken Karyl Avenue. Nothing was missing at either location.
