Flashes face undefeated Cathedral

This might be the perfect week for St. Aloysius to take on Cathedral.

Stuck in a losing streak and needing to snap back into focus after a lopsided loss last Friday, playing their archrival might be the perfect remedy for what ails the Flashes.

On the other hand, maybe it’s the worst week. St. Al gave up 163 yards and four touchdowns through the air six days ago against University Christian, and will certainly see more of the same on Friday.

However, the Flashes respond to the challenge, Cathedral is coming. It’s up to them to find a way to slow down the Green Wave that’s fast approaching.

“You sure hope it gives you focus. If we don’t play much better, they’re better than the last two teams we’ve played. So you hope they show up better,” St. Al coach B.J. Smithhart said. “If you can’t get up for this one, you can’t get up at all.”
