Warren Central hits the road Friday night for a Region 2-6A game against perennial power Madison Central (4-2, 2-0). Madison has won 45 of 51 games within the region since 2004 and thumped Warren Central 49-0 and 49-7 in their last two meetings.

The Jaguars lost their first two games this season — by a total of six points against top-ranked Olive Branch and Starkville — but have since won four in a row.

“They played Olive Branch, who just beat South Panola, then they beat Petal and went to West Monroe and beat them. They’re still Madison Central,” Warren Central coach Josh Morgan said.

More troubling than Madison’s talent, at least for Morgan and the Vikings, is how they employ it.
