A Jackson man who called 911 requesting to speak with deputies about a personal issue ended up arrested and in the Warren County Jail this morning, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
Larry Donnell Robinson, 32, 229 Colebrook Drive, called 911 just before 2 a.m. from the parking lot of the Texaco gas station and convenience store at 4460 E. Clay St., Pace said.
The two deputies who responded discovered that Robinson was wanted for business burglary by the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office, Pace said.
Citing privacy issues, Pace declined to specify the personal issue Robinson wanted to discuss, but said that in addition to the warrant, deputies discovered in his possession a cell phone, numerous cell phone chargers and two baseball caps Robinson is suspected of shoplifting from the convenience store.
Robinson was charged with misdemeanor shoplifting and was being held without bond awaiting transfer to Hinds County. No details about the business burglary were available.
