Revenues paid by Vicksburg’s five casinos to Warren County were off more than 5 percent in fiscal 2011, a tally of the year’s monthly payments.

Amounts paid for September totaled $228,287 from two revenue-based streams of money paid to the county, about $4,000 less than the same month last year. For the year, revenue reached $2,625,519, down from $2,777,173 for fiscal 2010. The new fiscal year began Oct. 1.

In addition to property taxes, casinos here pay a 3.2 percent revenue tax to the state that is divided three ways — 65 percent to the city, 25 percent to Warren County and 10 percent to the public schools.
