Sheriff Martin Pace, one of the celebrity waiters at the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary’s 32nd annual Soup and Sandwich fundraiser, clears tables at Tuesday’s event at Crawford Street United Methodist Church. Organizers said about $13,000 was raised; last year, a little more than $14,00 was raised. The auxiliary conducts two fundraisers per year, Soup and Sandwich and a luau that was canceled due to the spring flood.
