Vicksburg will have several challenges Friday night when Madison Central visits Memorial Stadium.

Can the Gators stop the option game of the Jaguars? Can they win consecutive games for the first time in three years? Can the high-flying quarterback-wide receiver duo of Cameron Cooksey and A.J. Stamps continue their assaults on the Warren County record books?

Stopping the run has not been one of Vicksburg’s strengths. Even in last week’s 35-31, come-from-behind region win at Greenville-Weston, the Hornets rushed for 364 yards. Northwest Rankin totaled 402 in the Cougars’ 42-40 win at Memorial Stadium two weeks ago.
