Services for Sylvia W. Collins will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cool Spring M.B. Church with the Rev. Byron Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Collins died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. She was 69.

She was retired from the GNB Battery Corporation and was a member of Cool Spring M.B. Church.

Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie and Marie Williams; her husband, John Collins Jr.; and a sister, Shirley J. Williams.

She is survived by four sons, John L. Collins of Vicksburg, Tony Collins of Utica, Darryl Collins of Longview, Texas, and Anthony Collins of Norfolk, Va.; a daughter, Annie Collins of Woodbridge, Va.; three brothers, James Williams of Detroit, Eddie Williams of Utica and Arthur Humes of Chicago; seven sisters, Betty Williams, Elizabeth Riley, Julia Dunbar, Georgia Donerson and Linda Conner, all of Vicksburg, Ruby Smith of Maryland and Doris Brown of Indiana; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
