FLINT, Mich. — Eddie “Buck” Greene died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at McLaren Regional Medical Center. He was 62.
Mr. Greene was born in Forest City, Ark. He was employed at Chevrolet Manufacturing and retired from the Mass Transit Authority. He was a member of North Central Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine Slaughter Mitchell; his father, Jimmie Greene; three brothers; and four children.
Survivors include his two sons, Edrick Greene and Errick Greene; his daughter, Elecia Greene; nine sisters, Mary Catherine Drain, Helen Jean Richardson, Mary Ann Wilkins, Bernice Allen, Diane Caldwell, Jimmyella Toney, Mildred Larkin, Linda Dyson and Brenda Moore; five brothers, Lee Ervin Greene, Rondal Greene, Michael Greene, Lenard Greene and Robert Coburn; eight grandchildren; Terry Slaughter of Vicksburg; and the Gray, Slaughter, Epps, Anderson, Brooks, Greene, Mitchell, Washington, Adams and Taylor families.
Services will be at noon today at North Central Church of Christ with the Rev. Rigel R. Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.
Visitation was from 7 until 8 p.m. Friday and will resume at 11 a.m. today at the church.
